“What location inspired this landscape?” is a question I’m often asked. When I try to explain that there’s no specific place involved and my paintings just sort of come oozing out of my head, I get some odd looks. I need a better way to explain this, so I’ll show you some of the stages my paintings go through in this post.

Once again, Visual Philosophy (VP), the resident artists of VP, and a number of fabulous guest artists are opening the doors for two days of our Handmade for the Holidays art fair.  This is your chance to pick up unique handmade gifts directly from the artists who created them. We’ll have over 30 creatives offering a variety of goodies ranging from original art and prints, ceramics, homegoods, and apparel to accessories and stickers. There will be something for every budget.

Varnishing is finished on ten (10!) new original acrylic paintings. I’ll show them for the first time this coming weekend at the Autumn Art Fair being held at the School of Visual Philosophy. I hope you’ll bring your kids and come to enjoy the fun, including artist demos (myself included), a bazaar, fun activities for all ages, a yummy bakesale, cornhole, food and beverages.

I have five pieces of art at KALEID Gallery for the HARK! Holiday Art Show and Sale again this year. It will be there along with the art of 40+ other amazing local artists. The opening of the show is this Friday during the San Jose First Friday in the SoFA District, and the art will be remain on display and for sale until January 15, 2022. It’s first come, first served.
