Join the Fun at Handmade for the Holidays Art Fair 2022
Once again, Visual Philosophy (VP), the resident artists of VP, and a number of fabulous guest artists are opening the doors for two days of our Handmade for the Holidays art fair. This is your chance to pick up unique handmade gifts directly from the artists who created them. We’ll have over 30 creatives offering a variety of goodies ranging from original art and prints, ceramics, homegoods, and apparel to accessories and stickers. There will be something for every budget.
Watch as I Transform a Painting
I’ve uploaded a new video to my YouTube channel showing some of the process that I went through creating a new abstract flower field painting. It shows how I took the painting to a more polished, nearly finished state from a rougher, midway state. I create my paintings using many layers of paint, building up the color and texture with each layer. This video is an example of how I refine paintings in their later stages.

A few years ago, after a fun weekend at an art workshop, I painted several flower fields that were much more abstract compared to most of the paintings I create. I loved doing those, but as time has gone by, I’ve drifted away from painting the more abstract works.
New Paintings Created During Open Studios in May
As you may already know, in May my art studio was open to the public for Silicon Valley Open Studios on two weekends, May 14-15 and 21-22, 2022. While having my studio open, I worked on two paintings, a different one each weekend.

Opening of “A Happier Place” Art Exhibit
Thank you to everyone who came out on April 1st, 2022, for the opening of my art exhibition titled, “A Happier Place” at KALEID Gallery. The evening was a great success and it was wonderful to see so many people out again. The exhibit will remain on display through the month of April, so if you missed the opening, there’s still time to see it.
