A vibrant, abstract background, with bright, cheerful flowers reaching up toward the colorful blue sky – this is the series I’ve been working on: Fields of Flowers. I currently have three completed pieces with at least two more in the pipeline.

The first, Field of Daisies acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.

Field of Wild Daisies Acrylic Painting

The other two I just completed this week (please excuse the cell phone photos). First up is Field of Sunflowers inspired by the mesmerizing fields of sunflowers grown every summer in California’s central valley. This is an acrylic painting on watercolor paper. The second painting is inspired by the California Poppy, a harbinger of spring and the California state flower and it’s acrylic on canvas and will be posted at a discount price because it was painted on a student canvas from a class I took a few years ago. Message me via email or my contact form to reserve it.

The artwork pages and prints for these will be posted in the next few weeks after I have time to do a proper photo shoot.

In the pipeline, I’ve been admiring the stand of California buckwheat in my front yard and have plans to turn that into a “field of” painting. I love the native California plants and hope to honor more of them in acrylic and/or watercolor as time goes by.
