Honey bees love fragrant citrus trees when they’re blossoming. The trees nourish the bees and the bees pollinate the flowers, promoting the birth of the fruit. Shortly after I finished this painting and hung it in our house to enjoy, a swarm of honey bees showed up in our backyard and moved into a bin in the shade underneath our lovely old orange tree. The painting summoned the bees. The whole experience was mind-boggling and delightful!
